Pay Scale: Rs.13820 – 500 (1) – 14320 – 560 (10) - 19920 and other allowances. The total emoluments at the start of the scale inclusive of DA, CCA and HRA comes to Rs.21900/- approx.

In addition, quarters facility (in lieu of HRA), conveyance, medical aid, LFC and retirement benefits are admissible as per rules of the Bank.

Eligibility criteria as on 01.02.2009:

1. Nationality/Citizenship: A candidate must be either

  1. A Citizen of India or
  2. A subject of Nepal or
  3. Subject of Bhutan or
  4. A Tibetan refugee who came over to India before 1st January, 1962 with the intention of permanently settling in India or
  5. A person of Indian origin who has migrated from Pakistan, Burma, Sri Lanka, East African countries of Kenya, Uganda, the United Republic of Tanzania (formerly Tanganyika and Zanzibar), Zambia, Malawi, Zaire, Ethiopia and Vietnam with the intention of permanently settling in India. Provided that a candidate belonging to categories (ii), (iii), (iv) & (v) above shall be a person in whose favour a certificate of eligibility has been issued by the Government of India. A candidate in whose case a certificate of eligibility is necessary may be admitted to the interview conducted by the Bank but on final selection the offer of appointment may be given only after the Government of India has issued the necessary eligibility certificate to him/her

2. The age, qualification and experience as on 01.02.2009 for the above post are prescribed as under:

  1. Qualification: A Degree in any discipline or equivalent qualification from a recognized University in India.
  2. Experience: Minimum 5 years commissioned service in the Army, Navy, Air Force or a Police Officer not below the rank of ASP/DSP with 5 years service or Officers of identical rank in Para Military forces with 5 years of completed service.

Note:

  1. The educational qualification prescribed for post is the minimum
  2. Degree Certificate issued by the University during the convocation shall be enclosed to the application. In case the said Certificate is not available, the Provisional Certificate issued by the University, clearly indicating therein the month and year of passing the qualifying examination.
  3. Year-wise/Semester-wise marks sheets of each year/semester in respect of the qualifying examination from the University concerned should be enclosed. Since reverse side of the mark sheets contain the instructions, photocopies of both sides of the mark sheets should be enclosed.
  4. Candidates must specifically indicate the class/division and percentage of marks obtained calculated to the nearest two decimals in the relevant column of the application. Where no percentage of marks is awarded by the University, but only CGPA/OGPA is awarded, the same should be converted into percentage, besides indicating the CGPA/OGPA in the application
  5. Candidates still serving in Defence Forces and desirous of applying should submit a certificate from the Competent Authority to the effect that they would be released/retired on or before 30.06.2009
